Business Support Representative

The Business Support Representative (BSR) plays a critical role in supporting GBS teams, Sales, Sales Support, and the embedded Finance organization. This position requires a deep understanding of company customer policies, processes, systems, and tools to ensure efficient and accurate support.

BSRs are responsible for controlling and validating price data, ensuring compliance with BP Delegation of Authority, company policies, and procedures. They maintain all pricing-related data, including discounts, rebates, investments, promotions, Net Hard Floors (NHF), and Target List Prices (TLP) across various systems. Additionally, BSRs act as the first point of contact for internal BP business teams and GBS Customer Facing/Credit organizations regarding price or invoice-related queries and complaints.

In this role You will:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for written inquiries from internal and external customers.
  • Interact professionally and efficiently with internal participants, raising concerns when necessary.
  • Deliver customer service aligned with KPIs, SLAs, and core values.
  • Handle all customer and support requests promptly from initial contact to resolution.
  • Log, assign, and track queries, providing weekly progress updates.
  • Escalate unresolved activities and contribute to team and organizational targets.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance in all systems to minimize errors and financial risks.
  • Manage pricing master data, including customer hierarchy, prices, discounts, rebates, contracts, and promotions.
  • alidate and control pricing requests for compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain pricing and rebate calculators/tools and support complex pricing structures for key customers.
  • Manage escalations related to pricing discrepancies and invoice queries.
  • Provide regular and ad hoc reporting.

What You will need to be successful:

  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in Customer Service or Pricing.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Skilled in managing conflicting priorities and building contingency plans.
  • Strong teammate with excellent communication and active listening skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
  • Desirable Criteria
  • High analytical skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Excel and intermediate knowledge of SAP and Salesforce.
  • Highly motivated and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks effectively.
