Job Description:

Key Accountabilities

1. Accounting & Financial Ownership

  • Lead and ensure accurate and timely accounting of related transactions, including purchases, inventory, taxes, and pricing adjustments.

  • Lead all aspects of fuel inventory accounting, reconciliation, and variance analysis, ensuring alignment between physical stock, transactional records, and financial reporting.

  • Manage complex reconciliation activities across deliveries, sales, tanks, and pricing movements, resolving discrepancies and ensuring completeness of financials.

  • Own month-end and year-end close processes for overall accounting within RTR.

2. Accounting, Reporting & Controls

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of actuals, forecasting, and financial reporting, with strong analytical review and variance commentary.

  • Drive adherence to IFRS and BP accounting policies, partnering closely with Accounting Policy teams.

  • Perform the margin reviews and moving average reviews.

  • Design and maintain robust internal controls frameworks to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Act as SME for accounting policy application, especially in complex and judgmental areas.

3. Risk Management & Governance

  • Lead and embed a strong risk management framework, proactively identifying financial and operational risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure standardization of processes and control adherence across entities and clusters.

  • Act as partner concern point for complex issues, applying judgment to resolve high-impact challenges.

4. Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals and team leads, driving performance, capability building, and succession planning.

  • Set clear goals, performance expectations, and accountability frameworks across the team.

  • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

5. Business Partnering &Collaboratorr Management

  • Act as a finance partner to business, operations, and cross-functional teams, providing insights to support decision-making.

  • Build strong relationships with site teams, supply chain, and fuel operations collaborators to ensure alignment and data accuracy.

  • Collaborate with auditors and senior leadership on financial performance, compliance, and reporting matters.

6. Continuous Improvement & Transformation

  • Drive improvements in execution, digital automation, and system optimization across accounting and RTR processes.

  • Find opportunities to reduce manual interventions, improve cycle times, and enhance data quality.

  • Lead or contribute to critical initiatives across FBT and finance transformation programs.
