The Opportunity:
When an Air Force or Navy user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software developmentand that means rigorous testing. Thats why we need you, an experienced test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.
As a Test Engineer on our Space Force team, youll use your experience to work with developers and engineers to evaluate software developed for national defense. Youll create test plans with test cases based on user stories and requirements. Using automated and manual processes, youll generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool.
As a member of our team, youll demonstrate a proactive approach to work, consistently anticipating needs and taking initiative to address challenges before they arise. You will seek opportunities for improvement and contribute innovative ideas to drive our teams success. Work with us as we develop software solutions to support our service members abroad.

You Have:
- Experience performing requirements analysis, synthesis, and traceability for shall statement and supplemental fields evaluation, including test method and success criteria
- Experience verifying and validating system requirements and performance in operationally representative environments, including participation in military exercises, field tests, or wargames
- Experience with using Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Knowledge of DoD Instructions 5000.87 and 5000.89
- Ability to lead a small team to successful goal execution
- Ability to write high-level programmatic test documentation, including Test Execution Strategy and Test & Evaluation Master Plan
- Ability to develop and execute Detailed Test Procedures for Developmental and Operational Test Events
- Secret clearance
- Bachelors degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with the Atlassian Suite, including Confluence or Jira
- Experience with radar system operations or radar modeling
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
- Experience interfacing with formal government test organizations, including 17TES or JITC
- Knowledge of software deployment and troubleshooting processes in DevSecOps pipelines, including Platform 1 or DAFCw
- Ability to run and evaluate complex simulation frameworks
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Physics, or Information Technology
- Security+ Certification
- Docker or Kubernetes Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individuals particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allens total compensation package for employees.
