The Opportunity:
As an experienced engineer, you know that machine learning is critical to understanding and processing massive datasets. Your ability to conduct statistical analyses on business processes using ML techniques makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused solution. We need your technical knowledge and desire to problem-solve to support intelligence analysis. As a machine learning engineer on our AI team, youll train, test, deploy, and maintain models that learn from data.
In this role, youll own and define the direction of mission-critical solutions by applying best-fit ML algorithms and technologies. Youll be part of a talented team of machine learning engineers across the company and collaborate with network analysts to deliver world class solutions to conduct red team evaluations of machine learning systems, including LLMs, and use intelligence analysis to evaluate exploitation risks and operational impacts. Your skills and extensive technical expertise will guide clients as they navigate the landscape of ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks.

You Have:
Experience with Python for building automated red-team tests or evaluations
Experience with Linux and containerized environments, such as Docker or Docker Compose, to operate modeltesting or redteam tooling
Experience with red-team methodologies, including stresstesting, structured prompts, failuremode discovery, vulnerability identification, or behavior scoring
Experience with AI or ML evaluation or security testing
Ability to analyze ML or LLM outputs, identify misbehavior or data leakage patterns, and document findings clearly
Ability to synthesize technical evidence with intelligence context and communicate risk to both technical and nontechnical audiences
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience with AI or ML, or 6+ years of experience with AI or ML in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with redteaming LLM systems
Experience applying AI or ML redteam results to operational intelligence workflows, including TTP mapping, adversarycapability analysis, or mission COA development
Knowledge of enterprise AI Security offerings and tooling ecosystem used to probe ML and LLM systems
Knowledge of datafusion, anomalydetection, or analyticaugmentation methods used in modern intelligence environments
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individuals particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allens total compensation package for employees.
