We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Data Privacy to join our Global Privacy Office team. This role is located in Manchester or London.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Support the Chief Privacy Officer and Global Privacy Office Directors to operationalize the Bank’s data privacy strategy and management framework.
  • Operate key enterprise-level data privacy policies/procedures, processes and controls. Focus areas include privacy incident management, fulfilling individual rights requests (e.g. subject access) and responding to client queries about BNY’s privacy program.
  • Support the deployment of data privacy management technology and tools (automation) to enhance data privacy controls.
  • Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders when delivering these responsibilities (e.g. Legal, Compliance, business, technology).

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in a data privacy, data ethics or data risk and compliance role
  • A strong Understanding of key data privacy laws in EMEA, e.g. EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulation (PECR)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and changing requirements
  • Team player with an open and collaborative approach to delivering required outcomes
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Data privacy certification(s) (e.g. CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT) and/or Global privacy program experience.
