We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Commercial Segment Strategy Senior Vice President to join our Asset Servicing COO Strategy team. This role is located in New York
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Shape and execute segment strategy
Define clear growth objectives, target‐client profiles and value propositions for your asset‐servicing segment
Build robust business cases (market sizing, revenue/cost forecasts) to prioritize strategic initiatives
Create white papers to raise awareness in the market
Monitor performance and ECRM to support and create reporting to senior management
Own segment budgeting, forecasting and monthly/quarterly performance reviews
Identify hygiene and initiatives levers to enhance earnings
Champion Innovation and AI within BAU practices to enhance efficiencies
Monitor market trends and competitive landscape
Conduct ongoing benchmarking versus peers and emerging fintech disrupters
Translate insights into tactical adjustments or new segment plays
Lead cross-functional collaboration and governance
Chair/ support segment steering committees; align stakeholders across sales, operations, risk and finance
Report progress and key decisions to senior leadership

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
8+ years in asset servicing, custody, fund administration or a closely related area
Proven track record in segment or product strategy development
Client‐obsessed orientation strong client‐engagement skills, including the ability to translate feedback into service enhancements
Excellent presentation and communication abilities, tailored to both executive and operational audiences
Analytical and financial acumen
Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting and business‐case development skills
Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data‐analytics tools
Cross‐functional leadership & stakeholder management
Ability to convene and influence senior stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Product, Risk, Technology and Finance
Skilled at running governance forums, driving alignment and ensuring rigorous decision‐making
Familiarity with agile project management practices and tools (JIRA, TPro)

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $102,000 and $221,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
