We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Fund/Client Accounting Manager to lead our EMEA Corporate Trust Accounting Solutions team. This role is located in Manchester, UK.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • The Senior Vice President, Fund/Client Accounting Manager reports to the CT Accounting Director and manages the EMEA team that provides accounting/tax related functions for a group of Corporate Trust clients.
  • Directs processes and allocation of resources to support accurate and timely delivery of client reports.
  • Manages relationships with a broad set of clients, accounting firms and business partners.
  • Directs and sets priorities for processes that check for completeness and accuracy. Provides guidance to teams managed to ensure that accounting records are maintained in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Resolves complex escalated issues from team members.
  • Provides guidance and reviews work of team members.
  • Operate with full ownership of accounting processes, making decisions and driving actions independently.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day escalation point for all accounting inquiries, ensuring rapid, accurate resolution.
  • Uses professional judgement and considerable experience to deliver and implement recommendations for use in accounting and financial reporting.
  • Leads team in completing advanced accounting activities, including highly complex general ledger events and transactions, continuously improving exceptions identification and analysis activities, directing audits, maintaining the control environment, fulfilling ad hoc requests in accordance with global, regional and country-specific process standards and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 7 + years of work experience within Corporate Trust or other securities industry
  • 8+ years of management experience preferred
  • Proven track record designing financial models, accounting processes and controls for structured finance products.
  • Excellent judgement, communication and stakeholder-management skills: comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced global setting.
  • Chartered Accountant
  • Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred.
  • People Leadership requirement: Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
