We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Associate, Operations Client Service to join our Custody Client Operations team. This role is based in Hong Kong.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Supports multiple, complex client accounts and serves as the primary point of contact on day-to-day settlements and cash-related issues with clients.
- Apply advanced problem-solving skills, judgement, and experience to analyze information, understand client needs and support clients in addressing and resolving complex operational and technical issues and ensuring requests are met without undue risk to the bank.
- Use developed communication skills to deliver high quality service to a specialized client base.
- Uses in-depth knowledge of client issues and needs to contribute to business development efforts and work with appropriate resources at BNY Mellon to address client needs.
- Participate in internal activities and initiatives designed to improve client experience.
- Participate in client service review.
- Participate in internal projects or process improvements as required.
- Foster deep partnership with operational teams through regular engagement and take proactive steps to raise clients’ concerns or gaps with our internal stakeholders and management team.
- Maintains familiarity with industry best practices and proactively stays on top of market changes and product development.
- Provides guidance to less experienced team members.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- 1-3 years of total work experience preferred.
- Experience in Custody operational area and/or client services preferred.
- Ability to converse in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin speaking clients in greater China region and/or experience in international markets would be a plus.
