Start date: 22 June 2026 (10 weeks)

Build your career in Equities

  • If you’re curious about markets, driven by ideas, and want real exposure inside a leading investment bank, our European Equities Summer Internship Programme offers a front-row seat to how capital markets actually work.
  • At Berenberg, interns are part of the team. You’ll be learning from experienced professionals, contributing to active work, and building the skills that matter in Equity Research and Equity Sales.
  • High-performing interns may be fast-tracked to interview for our Investment Bank Graduate Programme, starting in October 2027.

How the programme works

Week 1: Foundations

  • Your internship begins with a structured induction designed to set you up for success, including:
  • Insight sessions with senior business leaders
  • Classroom-based technical and market training
  • A full introduction to Berenberg’s culture, people and platform

Weeks 2–10: Real experience, real responsibility

  • You’ll join one of two front-office teams: Equity Research or Equity Sales
  • You’ll work alongside professionals on live projects, gaining exposure to how ideas turn into investment decisions and client outcomes. You’ll also be paired with a senior mentor, giving you support, guidance and space to ask the questions that matter.

The teams

Equity Research

Berenberg has one of Europe’s largest and most established equity research teams. Our analysts combine:

  • Deep industry and company knowledge

  • Distribute Berenberg’s best-in-class research
  • Provide context around markets and stocks
  • Build long-term investor relationships

You’ll work with a mix of experienced professionals and high-performing early-career talent.

We actively encourage freedom of thought. Interns are expected to ask smart questions, challenge assumptions and form their own views, while being supported by experienced colleagues.

  • Have a genuine interest in equities, markets and investing
