Analyst, Equity Syndicate

Our Equity Syndicate team is part of the Investment Banking Division and is responsible for all our equity capital markets activity across Europe. The department covers all equity-related capital market transactions such as Initial Public Offerings, Capital Increases and Secondary Placings in Europe and has built a strong reputation as one of the leading equity capital markets houses, particularly in the DACH region and the UK, with a growing presence in the rest of Europe.

The team in Frankfurt offers a modern, dynamic and ambitious working environment with a steep learning curve. From day one, you will gain hands-on exposure to live transactions and work closely with senior bankers, investors and internal stakeholders. The role offers an attractive opportunity for an ambitious and motivated candidate to start a career in investment banking. 

What will you do? 

  • Assist in running equity and equity-linked transactions (such as IPOs, Rights Issues, Accelerated Book-buildings and Convertible Bonds), including investor marketing, bookbuilding and allocation
  • Closely liaise with international institutional investors across key global markets as well as internal teams, including equity sales, research and traders
  • Support in investor marketing processes, including preparation for roadshows, investor education and wall-crossings;
  • Development of presentation materials for clients and investors, including pitch books, marketing and transaction documents, ongoing capital market updates and steering committee meetings;
  • Continuous collaboration with senior management across all work streams and tasks;
  • Conduct in-depth equity market and transaction analyses and maintain various financial databases

Who are we looking for?

  • Excellent academic background with a degree from at a top university, ideally in Economics, Finance or Business
  • Previous experience within investment banking, corporate finance or equity sales
  • Strong interest in equity capital markets with a good understanding of market dynamics and key drivers of company valuation
  • Quick and keen learner with the ability to multitask and perform under time pressure, while keeping attention to detail
  • Strong ability to work in a team, entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to further develop one of the leading equity franchises
  • Fluency in English and German is essential, familiarity with capital markets data platforms (e.g. Bloomberg) is an advantage
