About the job:

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the FX and Interest Rates Linear Trading Desk Manager in defining the desk strategy, focusing on meeting internal and external customer needs/demands and complying with the risk and regulatory requirements

- Give counterparty service in Flow FX and Interest Rates Linear products to clients requests submitted by the Sales team. Quote bid/ offer prices, focusing on increasing the flow of FX and Interest Rate deals by promoting the excellence in the trading services offered to the clients

- Perform dynamic risk management of the FX portfolio. Focus on breaking and covering the different risks in coordination with other trading desks. Maintain the risks within the acceptable/ allowed risk limits

- Monitor the market continuously, being in permanent contact with other market participants/ counterparties. Focus on adjusting and updating the trading parameters of his/ her valuating models to the market risks and conditions

- Register all trades/ transactions in BBVA internal applications. Assist middle and back office in the transactions settlement, in order to minimize operational risk and/ or solve incidences. Verify the orders compliance and control in case of contingency, system failure and incidences

- Carry out the daily closing processes, verifying that the book risks are identified and controlled and the positions are correctly informed in the internal systems. Revalue all the books with end of day market data, verifying market changes and explaining sensitivities. Update market data for end of day revaluation

- Collaborate closely with the Flow FX and Interest Rates Linear Trading desks of other regions to coordinate the management of the global trading book in the different time zones

- Update the FX and Interest Rates Linear in the databases that are used by all Global Market traders in pricing. Collaborate with other Trading desks in updating the FX trading handbook, framework and pricing rules documentation. Review pricing methodologies in exotic deals, understanding of pricing tools and methodologies

- Liaise alongside with other FX and Interest Rates Trading desks to coordinate the risk management strategy and share market and clients needs knowledge. Promote the generation of synergies in the in the global FX and Interest Rates pricing and risk management strategy

- Collaborate with Quants and Structuring teams to develop valuation models and structured FX and Interest Rates products, respectively

- Work with Algorithmic Strat & Data Science team to apply new solutions / capabilities to the business

- Comply with both internal and external operational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements

- Generate recurrent income complying with the budget and the hit/ miss target set for the products/ assets under his/ her responsibility

- Participate in strategic committees when required

- Report to in-line manager on an ad-hoc and periodic basis

Qualifications

-Bachelor's Degree Required

-FINRA Series 7 & 63 Licenses Required

Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
