The Export & Agency team within the Corporate & Investment Banking unit (CIB) of BBVA Group manages all transactions related to ECAs (Export Credit Agencies), Multilateral covered deals and Sovereign borrowers long term finance. It is a highly specialized team of professionals originating and structuring complex deals with counterparties such as Sovereign and Sub-sovereign entities, large corporates or Project Finance vehicles.

Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) handles BBVA's investment banking, global markets, global lending and transactional businesses for international and domestic corporate clients and institutional investors.

BBVA CIB is a full-service provider of high value-added products and thanks to its proven business model it can deliver solutions for the most complex needs of its clients anywhere in the world.

About the job:

As part of the Export & Agency finance team the successful candidate will be required to:

• Actively engaged in commercial process to provide financing solutions to target customers covered by ECAs and Multilateral Institutions

• Develop the required marketing materials to pitch, set up pricing, elaborate commercial offers

• Analysis of projects (feasibility, risks); identification of key issues and proposal of improvements to achieve successful financing.

• Elaborate risk proposals detailing the underlying transaction structure and defend and discuss with risk teams

• Engage with ECAs, Multilaterals and private insures in the approval process.

• Development of financing documentation (contracts) and management of insurance policies in collaboration with Legal services and/or external law firms

• Negotiation with borrowers, exporters and financing institutions related to the terms & conditions applicable to the transaction and financial document clauses.

• Preparation of Information Memos and Lender Presentations for lead role opportunities and coordination of bank meetings

• Support on the monitoring of such deals over the life of the transaction

Required Skills

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in Export & Agency finance or similar roles.

• Proven experience in winning and executing large scale mandates and/or lead arranging positions with main ECAs and Multilateral Agencies.

• Knowledge of ECA project finance structures is highly valuable.

• Business School/University degree in economics or business administration, law, or engineering.

• Preferably international working experience.

• Fluency in English and Spanish, other European languages also valued.
