The Executive Director will originate, structure, negotiate, and execute Transaction Banking solutions, with a strong primary focus on originating and structuring Global Trade Finance and Working Capital solutions (including Standby Letters of Credit, Supply Chain Finance, A/R solutions, and Structured Trade Finance), followed by Cash Management and Liquidity Management offerings, across Financial Sponsors and the broader NBFI client environment. The role requires strong commercial drive, structuring capabilities, and disciplined risk management

As a senior member of the team, the role includes supporting junior bankers on complex transactions and broader team initiatives.

List Major/Essential Job Duties:

  • Act as a senior coverage banker and trusted advisor to clients across Financial Sponsors, Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, and their portfolio or operating companies.

  • Lead origination and execution of Trade Finance and Working Capital solutions across Financial Sponsors and broader NBFI clients, including Standby Letters of Credit, Supply Chain Finance, A/R solutions, and Structured Trade Finance, while supporting broader Cash Management and Treasury Management opportunities.

  • Drive revenue generation for the assigned portfolio, contributing to pricing discussions, return optimization, and wallet share expansion

  • Structure and deliver tailored solutions aligned with client operating models, liquidity needs, and capital structures

  • Lead end to end execution of transactions, including client pitches, RFP processes, and internal approvals

  • Maintain an active and disciplined pipeline, with clear visibility on opportunities and conversion

  • Work closely with Product, Risk, and other internal partners to ensure consistent delivery and alignment with the banks risk framework

  • Operate effectively across a global platform, coordinating with Corporate and Investment Banking and Global Markets teams

  • Support the continued development of the GTB franchise within the US Financial Sponsors and broader NBFI space

  • Support junior team members on complex transactions and contribute to a high performing team environment

Level of Complexity and Risk Involved:

The role involves working with complex, cross border client structures across Financial Sponsors and the broader NBFI space. Many clients operate through multi entity and multi jurisdictional setups, requiring a strong understanding of onboarding, governance, and regulatory frameworks across the US and globally.

As a senior banker, you will be expected to manage and mitigate operational and compliance risks as part of the first line of defense, working closely with Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Operations teams to ensure appropriate oversight while maintaining a high standard of client service.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities/Competencies:

  • Minimum 10-15 years experience within Corporate & Investment Banking, with strong exposure to Financial Sponsors, Asset Managers, or Hedge Funds.

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, accounting or related fields. MBA preferred.

  • Fluency in English required; Spanish preferred.

  • Proven ability to originate and execute business with large and complex clients in the US market

  • Strong and proven experience originating and executing Trade Finance and Working Capital solutions, including Standby Letters of Credit, Supply Chain Finance, A/R solutions, Structured Trade Finance, and other structured working capital products across complex client environments.

  • Working knowledge of Cash Management and Liquidity solutions; broader Transaction Banking product exposure considered a plus.

  • Experience working with multi entity and cross border client structures
