Day in the Role

You will be contributing your knowledge and expertise towards the support, continual improvement and development of our Market Data/3

rd
party data services, ensuring our business users gain most value from the services/subscriptions they have access to. The daily hands-on function of monitoring incident and request tickets, ensuring SLAs are met is key to the role which is balanced with the requirement to plan and implement both internal and vendor led changes. Collaboration across multiple teams will be required to ensure the services are supported end to end. You will possess a service/security first mentality and strive for accuracy and quality to minimise impacts. Advancement in AI capabilities provides the opportunity to innovate and shape the way our users interact with data to bring efficiencies.

Minimum Criteria

  • At least 12 years experience in an IT support, desktop support, infrastructure, or network support role
  • Working knowledge of Windows-based desktop and application support in a corporate environment
  • Basic understanding of IT service delivery and supporting users in a production environment
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document issues and liaise with customers
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively in a reactive support role
  • Professional approach to users, systems, and data, with an awareness of security and service reliability
  • Willingness and ability to participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota, including occasional weekends

Essential Criteria 

We are interested in hearing from candidates who have the following capabilities:

  • At least 2 years knowledge/experience in a desktop support/infrastructure/network role
  • Knowledge of application/desktop support in a Windows environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and manage a demanding workload
  • Professionalism, self-motivation, and a desire for continuous improvement and innovation
  • Confident engaging with internal customers and senior stakeholders both internal/external.
  • Demonstrate a service/security-first focus, baked-in not bolted-on
  • Commitment to delivering a reliable, efficient, and highquality service
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management practices and the ITIL framework
  • Participate in an outofhours oncall rota, with occasional weekend working as required

Desirable Criteria

Practical knowledge and experience of supporting and configuring Windows based components in Azure via Github and Terraform.

Practical knowledge of creating and supporting APIs

Salary and Benefits Information
We encourage flexible working, part time working and job share arrangements.  Part time salary and benefits will be on a pro-rated basis as appropriate.
 
Leeds salary: 40,320 - 45,360

  • Currently a non-contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/80th of your annual salary for every year worked. There is the option to increase your pension (to 1/65th) or decrease (to 1/105th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year.  The Bank has the discretion to vary standard accrual rates and dial up and dial down rates at any time and to withdraw dial up and dial down options at any time.
  • A discretionary performance award based on a current award pool.
