Job ID 2026-20796 Main Purpose of the Job The QA Officer ensures that software or application releases meet business requirements and will not negatively impact ongoing operations and production functionalities Key Accountabilities Estimates, prioritizes, plans, and coordinates testing activities across other QA testers and Business User testers. Designs test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures. Executes both manual and automated test cases for various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, and performance. Identifies, isolates, and tracks bugs throughout testing. Identifies any potential problems that users might encounter. Documents software defects using a bug tracking system and reports defects to software developers. Researches and analyzes product features being tested. Provides testing progress updates. Supports UAT through test data creation. Provides production issue support, including issue replication and troubleshooting. Conducts feature demonstrations to users. Manages Azure Board, tracking tasks and defects. Acts as a back-up Business Analyst (as needed) Key Stakeholders Business User testers Software Developers Users Project Teams Senior Product Owner Experience & Qualifications Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related field, or a combination of education and experience. 1-3 years of experience as a Software Quality Engineer. Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards. Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications. Knowledge of Regression testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with Mobile/Web platforms. Knowledge of automated software testing is a plus. Backend Testing experience for both Database and API. Proficiency in using web methods like GET, POST, DELETE, PUT, etc. Experience in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies. Working knowledge of test management software such as TFS, Azure, MTM, Jira, or similar. Advantageous to have relevant experience in life/health insurance (Policy Administration and/or Claims). Strong stakeholder management skills. Highly developed communication and relationship skills. Organized and systematic approach to work. Good analytical skills. Proactive/Critical Thinking.
