Full Job Description
Responsibilities: Underwrite, manage and service a renewal book and produce new business in accordance with business unit goals. Develop and manage underwriting strategies for both renewals and targets within the team, including cross-selling, marketing penetration and specific plans to increase company share. Manage and develop Marsh SME portfolio, i.e. Marsh Placement Services (MPS); Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the analysis and evaluation of risk. Negotiate with producers within the limits of delegated authority and in accordance with established underwriting guideline to achieve profit objectives. Communicate with brokers to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of documentation issuance. Assist in developing and executing underwriting strategy for LoB. Ready to undertake additional tasks and projects in support of the overall company objectives. Build up culture of teamwork as well as ensure compliance expectations are fully met. Provide training, coaching and development of junior teammates. Qualifications: Bachelor Degree Holder, IIQE Paper I & II, preferably with the completion of CII or ANZII. 10+ years underwriting and risk management experience Good understanding of local insurance markets and legal regulations, and the competitor landscape. Ability to respond to a changing environment with flexibility and innovation. Strong interpersonal, influencing and management skills. Customer-oriented, people-centric and a team player. Good command of written & spoken English and Chinese.
