The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a People & Culture (P&C) Business Partner to join our Brisbane team on a full time, permanent basis. Reporting to the APAC P&C Director, this role forms an integral part of our P&C business partnering team and plays a key role in directly supporting people leaders, shaping the employee experience and reinforcing a high performance, inclusive culture.

As the P&C Business Partner supporting the Brisbane Eagle Street office, you will:

  • Act as a trusted advisor, working closely with the Office Managing Partner, local partners and legal practice groups, providing advice, coaching, and support across a broad range of P&C matters spanning the employee lifecycle;
  • Shape people strategies and drive forward impactful change management initiatives, including a key role in supporting our upcoming office relocation;
  • Work in collaboration with global P&C divisional leads, managing the delivery of core cyclical activities, including performance, reward, talent management and succession planning, ensuring alignment to evolving business priorities;
  • Leverage data and insights to shape and drive people initiatives, with a focus on culture development, developing and retaining talent, employee engagement and wellbeing;
  • Take accountability for the delivery of various programs and initiatives aligned to the P&C strategy, working collaboratively across the P&C partnering team, the wider P&C function and with key stakeholders.

  • Strong generalist Human Resources experience, ideally gained in a complex, matrix environment - recent experience in the legal industry is essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and a solid understanding of end-to-end HR functions and best practices.
  • Demonstrated consultative based communication skills, with strong relationship building, commercial acumen and influencing capability.
  • Experience in balancing strategic input while ensuring 'hands on' implementation across the range of HR functions.
  • A true results driven approach - self-motivated, practical, organised and comfortable managing competing priorities.
