Data Management at ABN AMRO has undergone a strategic reorganization into 15 distinct Data Domains, with Investments constituting one of these newly created domains. This domain incorporates robust data management capabilities, such as governance, lineage, and issue management. Additionally, it includes data mapping, data product development, and advanced analytics, ensuring comprehensive oversight and innovation within the data domain. The focus is specifically directed towards Investments data, covering transactions, contracts, instruments, positions, and pensions.

We are seeking for motivated interns who are attentive to details to join our Investment Data Domain team within Wealth Management. 

What does your workday look like?

As an intern within the Data domain team, you will be assisting for a variety of activities: 

• You will support in registering and maintaining Golden Datasets Ensure the correct and sufficient registration of all business metadata, for Data Products (and Use Case-Specific Integrated Datasets).  
• You will help in follow-up of DQ issues and data gaps. 
• You will support the documentation & administration in the data marketplace and contribute to prepare superior quality dashboards.  
• You will support in collaborating with other data users, data owners and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with data standards  
• You will be flexible to follow the work and assist other team members when needed.  
• You love to work in teams and deliver results.  
• You are excited about working in an international environment 

Who are you?

Are you enthusiastic to learn about investment and like to work with Data? Then we are looking for you!  

• Currently pursuing or completed a degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer science or similar.  
• Familiarity or willing to learn data concepts such as meta data, data lineage, data quality, data (issue) management processes, principles and data governance. 
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data tools such as Power BI, data catalogue etc.  
• We are open to students who can be graduates or postgraduates or someone who is interested to build a career in Investment Data management.  
• You have Excellent verbal and written communication in English. Dutch and/or French are a plus. 
• You are availability for 36 hours (Monday to Thursday), with Friday as an option for writing your thesis. 

What do we offer?

• The internship salary is 750 per month (based on a 36-hour work week) for an MBO, HBO or WO internship. 
• Internship duration of 6 months with the possibility to extend or potentially grow as management trainee based on your performance.   
• The internship offers hands- on experience in data management and the opportunity to work in an amazing team within Investments Data Domain.  
• There is plenty of room to learn and grow. You will be a part of the Internship onboarding program and have access to ABN AMRO free trainings.  
• You will get plenty of opportunities to expand your network by joining various ABN AMRO clubs.
