Strengthening talent and culture is one of our strategic priorities. We strive to make Aberdeen a great place to work so that we can attract and retain the industry’s best talent.

Our people put our stakeholders at the heart of everything they do by helping us to make a positive difference to the lives of our clients, customers, colleagues, shareholders and society.

We are repositioning our specialist asset management business to meet client demand and are committed to providing excellent client service, supported by leading technology and talent.

As a global business, Aberdeen consists of three divisions: Investments, Adviser, and interactive investor (ii). Each division is dedicated to meeting and adapting to our clients' evolving needs.

In European markets, our dedicated and highly experienced investment team manages our European products, including emerging market income and debt, smaller companies, European credit, ETFs, real estate and sustainable investing propositions.

We have offices in Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK. Our breadth of experience gives us close proximity to the companies we invest in and the markets we operate in.

About the Department

You’ll join our Infrastructure Investments platform, a leading global infrastructure investment team with over 20 years’ experience and approximately €5bn in assets under management. The team focuses on public‑private partnership (PPP) and concessions‑based infrastructure investments across both greenfield and brownfield projects.

The Amsterdam office covers social infrastructure, transportation and telecoms investments across the Benelux, Nordics, Baltics and parts of Eastern Europe. The wider infrastructure team operates as one integrated platform, providing opportunities to collaborate on transactions across Europe and internationally.

About the Role

We are recruiting a Senior Analyst to support the origination, execution and asset management of PPP and concessions infrastructure investments. Based in Amsterdam, the role offers broad exposure across transactions, portfolio oversight and stakeholder engagement.

You will work closely with senior colleagues to identify new investment opportunities, support detailed investment analysis, and contribute to the ongoing management and performance of portfolio assets. As part of a global platform, there is also the opportunity to be involved in transactions beyond Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the origination and execution of new infrastructure investment opportunities across PPP and concessions

  • Assist with the identification and assessment of new countries, sectors and investment themes

  • Analyse transaction documentation, including concession agreements, project and financing contracts, financial models and due diligence materials

  • Take ownership of financial models for new transactions and specific financial assessments

  • Prepare high‑quality investment papers, financial analysis and internal presentations

  • Assist in the ongoing asset management of portfolio investments

  • Participate in board‑level oversight of selected project companies, including preparation for and attendance at board meetings

  • Conduct quarterly valuations and support value enhancement initiatives across the portfolio

  • Support relationship management with SPV management teams, co‑sponsors and external advisers

About the Candidate

  • Experience within PPP and concessions‑based infrastructure, gained in an infrastructure fund, infrastructure corporate or infrastructure financial advisory environment

  • Knowledge of the PPP infrastructure sector and legal framework

  • Typically, 3–8 years’ relevant professional experience, with flexibility for the right profile

  • Strong financial analysis and modelling capability, with the ability to interpret complex financial statements and project structures

  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing high‑quality investment papers and reports

  • Fluent in Dutch and English; additional European languages such as Polish, Hungarian or German would be advantageous

  • A collaborative, professional approach and a strong interest in long‑term infrastructure investing

The successful candidate will receive on the job training and coaching and will be encouraged to develop their career through both internal and external courses and the team will provide support as required.

We’re committed to providing an inclusive workplace where all forms of difference are valued and which is free from any form of unfair or unlawful treatment.  We define diversity in its broadest sense – this includes but is not limited to our diversity of educational and professional backgrounds, experience, cognitive and neurodiversity, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, religion or belief and ethnicity and geographical provenance.  We support a culture that values meritocracy, fairness and transparency and welcomes enquiries from everyone.

If you need assistance or an adjustment due to a disability please let us know as part of your application and we will assist.
