Firstly, you are invited to a logical reasoning and basic maths/English test, however (unlike other firms), this happens over a video call, with someone from their recruitment agency Dartmouth Partners “invigilating” this test. You are combined in this video call with many other candidates, which is frustrating because many end up making noises and not muting themselves, so I would recommend just muting your volume.
The test itself is relatively easy (lots are multiple choice), basic numeracy skills will get you past the maths questions, and lots of the English questions are just identifying synonyms. There are a few odd questions, asking for definitions of obscure words for example, but these are easily Google-able since the test is online. The first round interview is also with a representative from Dartmouth, over video call for 30 minutes. They asked the following motivational questions:
* What do you know about Rokos?
* What differentiates Rokos from competitors/other asset management firms?
* What do you hope to gain out of the experience at Rokos?
* Asked about my background, and to expand on the work experiences listed in my CV
Additional, they asked the sum of numbers from 1 to 100 (the trick to working this out is 1+99=100, 2+98=100, 3+97=100, etc., so there are 50 pairs that make 100, plus 50, so the answer is 5050). Finally, I was told to explain where I would invest $100 million, if I was given it to invest personally, given any time horizon, and why I would choose the area that I did.
Although I did not make it past the first round, it was explained that the remaining stages would be a take-home maths test, a HR interview, and then an assessment centre, from which they give offers same-day.
