JOB DESCRIPTION
Overview

The Operations Analyst Program is a rotational development program that offers a broad and in-depth exposure to business operations at Susquehanna and will prepare you for a Tax Analyst position that immediately impacts our business.

In the first six months, you’ll rotate through Susquehanna’s operations team, gaining hands-on experience across trading desks and key business areas. These rotations are designed to deepen your understanding of the firm’s structure and operations, especially as they relate to tax. You’ll take on daily responsibilities and project work that build familiarity with information flow and tax processes. Classroom training will complement your experience, focusing on company knowledge, technical skills, and business effectiveness.

Throughout the program, you’ll build a strong network across the firm and receive mentorship from senior tax and operations professionals to support your development.

After completing the program, you’ll join the tax team. In this role, you’ll work on projects that help optimize after-tax profits from trading activities. You’ll collaborate with departments like trading, operations, and technology, and work with both internal and third-party systems to ensure accurate documentation and reporting. These projects will also give you insight into current tax regulations and their impact on the business.

By the end of your rotations, you’ll be equipped with the skills and knowledge to make a meaningful impact on Susquehanna’s tax team.

What we're looking for
  • Students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting or a related major looking to start a full-time job upon graduation
  • Candidates with an advanced knowledge of Excel, as well as experience with Python, HTML, VBA or SQL preferred
  • Prior co-op/internship/work experience in a tax paraprofessional or related role preferred
  • Students who have an ability to collaborate with a team while having the confidence to work independently
  • Candidates with an entrepreneurial spirit who are flexible and have a commitment to innovation
  • Students who demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Visa sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position now or in the future

What’s In It For You

  • Our non-hierarchical culture allows employees of every level to thrive and make impact. We are not your typical trading firm – the environment is casual, collaborative and we focus on continuous development.
  • In addition to providing hands-on experience through daily tasks and project work, the program will introduce you to Susquehanna's formal education program through classroom training sessions focused on developing company specific knowledge and technical skills to facilitate process optimization. Topics may include options theory, game theory, decision science, programming (VBA, SQL, Python) and overviews of our trading desks and other areas of our business.
  • Opportunity to network with coworkers across the firm and build relationships with recently graduated mentors
  • Relaxed dress code (jeans and sneakers are the norm and team jerseys every Friday)
  • Fully stocked kitchens for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages
  • A forty thousand square-foot state of the art fitness facility with brand-new equipment, multi-purpose courts, group exercise classes, and locker room spaces
  • Discounts for dining, entertainment, shopping, travel, and attractions
  • Social events such as a poker tournament, holiday party, company outings, and more
  • On-site Wellness Center
  • On-site services such as a mailroom, barber, dry cleaning, and car maintenance
  • Opportunities to give back to the community through Susquehanna sponsored events and donation drives
