We are currently seeking a Trading Operations Support Specialist to join our Production Engineering Team for one of our automated trading desks. As a part of this team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with trading strategy and infrastructure development teams and be an important part of getting new technologies and strategies configured and deployed.

You will work directly with our technologists, traders and quantitative research analysts to develop tools to monitor and support the production environment on a highly automated trading desk as well as developing and maintaining software build tools on Linux. You will have the opportunity to learn market microstructure and how the system setup and system risk relates to the trading.

In this role you will:

  • Develop scripts for monitoring the state of the production environment and its dependencies for an automated trading desk
  • Work with the Platform Engineering team to assist in server imaging, testing and deployment
  • Act as a liaison between the trading desk and network, security, market data and platform teams for system level production issues and new setups
  • Monitor and support a highly distributed production system
  • Provide multi-level support for traders, strategists and quantitative researchers

What you can expect from us:

Real Impact: You’ll be designing and optimizing systems that process massive amounts of data, ensuring high performance and stability. You’ll see how your contributions towards developing and supporting leading-edge hardware and software solutions make a firm-wide impact that makes us all smarter, faster, and better.

Collaboration: Our systems engineers, network architects, technical analysts and software developers work together to create competitive edge through best-in-class technical solutions.

Growth: For many of our roles, we don’t expect you to have prior industry experience in proprietary trading or financial services to succeed at Susquehanna International Group. We’re looking for people who are naturally curious, relentless problem solvers, and have the desire to continuously innovate, learn, and grow.

Benefits: Susquehanna offers a wide array of competitive employee perks & benefits.

What we're looking for
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated proficiency in scripting languages (Python, bash, shell) required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with traders, quants and other developers required
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment required
  • Excellent quantitative skills are strongly preferred
  • Good understanding of financial instruments and markets is a plus
  • Ability to work in office 5 days per week
