Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in relationship management or a similar customer facing role, preferably within financial services. Previous experience in Corporate & Institutional Banking or Debt Capital Markets is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments and the dynamics of capital and private credit markets
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions
  • Skilled in negotiation and influencing outcomes. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional time management, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Collaborative team player with integrity, commitment, and drive

Education 

  • Bachelors degree required, ideally in accounting, commerce, economics, finance, or a related discipline

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts within Private Credit, Financial Institutions, and Structured Finance sectors
  • Identify, originate, and execute new business opportunities within assigned sectors
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of private credit and debt capital markets and monitor industry trends
  • Independently oversee all aspects of customer relationships, including engagement with intermediaries
  • Deliver proactive customer service and customized value propositions
  • Execute a structured customer outreach program for the assigned portfolio
  • Contribute to internal projects and initiatives as needed
  • Moderate travel required

About the Team and Role 
Moodys Global Commercial Group partners with a wide spectrum of customersincluding Financial Institutions, Corporates, Project & Infrastructure entities, Sub Sovereigns, and Structured Finance market participantsto deliver market leading credit insights and rating solutions. The team is responsible for building and managing strategic commercial relationships, ensuring customers receive exceptional value and support across Moodys full suite of offerings.

As part of the Commercial team, the Vice President, Relationship Management plays a key role in deepening and expanding Moodys relationships across Australia and New Zealand. You will champion Moodys value proposition, ensuring customers receive tailored insights, highquality service, and proactive engagement.

Based in Sydney, you will represent Moodys credit rating capabilities, contribute to the development and launch of ratingsbased solutions, articulate pricing strategies, and oversee contractual negotiations. This is a highvisibility, customerfacing role requiring an experienced relationship manager with strong communication skills, commercial acumen, and a proactive approach to customer success. Experience in business development will be highly regarded.
