Skills and Competencies

  • Seven or more years of experience in defining, evaluating, validating, launching, and scaling business growth strategies in go-to-market or other commercial strategy roles within enterprise software, data, or analytics organizations
  • Experience working with government or highly regulated market customers, including familiarity with government procurement processes, deployment constraints, and regulatory considerations
  • Strong understanding of go-to-market models, delivery channels, and partnership strategies to drive new product capabilities or distribution pathways
  • Proven ability to operate in a matrixed organization with cross-functional teams across Product, Data, Engineering, Sales, Strategy, and Partnerships
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience working in globally distributed teams
  • Familiarity with and active use of artificial intelligence concepts for supporting internal work as well as customer solutions, demonstrating a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use
  • Understanding of how government organizations partner to execute public sector Jobs To Be Done, and the contractual vehicles government uses to empower teaming and allow for prime-sub relationships, would be an asset
  • Experience in financial sector B2B product companies is a plus

Education

  • Bachelors degree

Responsibilities

  • Define and operationalize scalable delivery channel strategies for Moodys government solutions across regions and public sector sub segments.
  • Define sub segment and region specific solution delivery channel requirements informed by Moodys and partner product capabilities
  • Evaluate existing delivery channels including direct, distribution, reseller, build with, and partner led models and identify opportunities to expand or refine them to meet government needs
  • Design delivery strategies aligned to government missions, product mixes, procurement realities, and regulatory environments
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with government subject matter experts across Moody's in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific to align delivery channel strategies with regional priorities
  • Collaborate with Channel Sales and Partnerships teams to assess delivery feasibility, scalability, and strategic fit
  • Evaluate and support partnership and build with opportunities by assessing joint capabilities, solution viability, and potential return on investment
  • Provide regular updates to Program Sponsors on delivery channel strategy, progress against priorities, and identified gaps or risks
  • Travel expectation is up to 20%, including internationally.

About the Team

The Government Commercial Strategy global team is responsible for shaping how Moodys delivers data, analytics, and software solutions to public sector customers worldwide. The team serves as a connective layer between Product, Partnerships, and regional government experts to determine the optimal sales and delivery channels as well as strategy for building joint capabilities that align with mission needs, regulatory constraints, and regional dynamics. By joining this team, you will help define the future of Moodys public sector go to market strategy and support scalable, fit for purpose growth across government segments.


For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $124,600.00 -  $180,700.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moodys also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
