You are a dynamic, strategic Product leader who will own the product strategy and portfolio engagement strategy for the Southwest Co-brand credit card. In collaboration with the partner, you will work closely with Product, Customer Marketing, Analytics, Finance, and Execution teams to increase cardmember engagement and optimize portfolio value through customer-centric experiences, personalization, and disciplined measurement. 

As an Executive Director, Product Strategy for the Southwest Cobrand team , you will set the strategic vision and roadmap for the Southwest portfolio, use data and insights to develop targeting, offer, timing, and messaging strategies that improve card member engagement, partner value, and portfolio  performance. You will lead through influence across product capabilities and marketing execution teams to scale what works.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Own end-to-end Southwest Credit Card strategy across product positioning, value proposition, and lifecycle engagement to drive growth and deepen engagement with Southwest cardmembers
  • Lead product strategy and roadmap input by translating customer insights, partner priorities, and competitive intelligence into differentiated features, benefits, and experiences for both new and existing cardmembers.
  • Lead portfolio engagement strategy to increase spend, retention, and borrowing, positioning the Southwest card as the customers primary card for everyday and travel-related spend.
  • Design segmentation, targeting, and personalization strategies using Chase and partner insights to deliver the right message, offer, and experience 
  • Build and maintain a test-and-learn agenda that accelerates experimentation across product and marketing levers and drives continuous improvement in customer experience, response, and profitability.
  • Leverage advanced analytics to size opportunities and evaluate performance, including target population identification, propensity/lifecycle signals, business case development, and deep segment-level post-launch/post-campaign readouts.
  • Influence product, marketing technology, and channel capabilities (e.g., personalization, automation, decisioning) to enable scalable engagement and improved customer experiences across the Southwest portfolio.
  • Streamline performance reporting with analytics and automation partners to improve speed-to-insight through dashboards, standardized readouts, and self-serve reporting.

 

Required Qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant marketing analytics and/or marketing strategy experience.
  • Possesses a strong attention to detail, and the ability to distill analytics insights into actional marketing plans. 
  • Demonstrated experience in segmentation, marketing channels, business case development, and campaign performance evaluation.
  • Credit card industry experience required, including understanding of Card P&L, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Ability to balance business, partner, strategic, customer, and financial objectives while ensuring strong marketing execution.
  • Proven ability to influence and partner across a large organization to drive innovation and change.
  • Demonstrated initiative and a track record of delivering results through strong cross-functional partnerships.
  • Strong executive communication skills (verbal and written), including ability to develop effective executive-level presentations.
  • Strong project management skills, including managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • People leadership experience, including recruiting, developing, motivating, and managing diverse talent.
  • Bachelors degree required.
