Vice President - Restructuring - New York
What is the Position? Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Vice President for its Restructuring Team located in New York, NY. Vice Presidents play a central role in leading transaction execution, managing day-to-day client engagement, and overseeing junior team members across complex, high-profile restructuring and financing assignments. The role offers significant responsibility in driving analyses, shaping strategic recommendations, and coordinating across internal and external stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities: Responsibilities include leading the execution of restructuring, liability management and financing transactions; managing financial and valuation analyses; driving diligence and managing overall process execution; coordinating with clients, creditors, legal advisors, and other stakeholders; developing and delivering client presentations; and contributing to origination and business development efforts in partnership with senior bankers. Vice Presidents are also responsible for mentoring and developing Analysts and Associates.
Candidates should possess strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to independently manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment. The role requires sound judgment on complex financial and strategic matters, along with the ability to communicate effectively with senior client stakeholders.
Specific Qualifications:
- 7+ years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrated experience leading execution of complex transactions
- Strong expertise in corporate finance, valuation, and financial accounting
- Proven ability to manage teams and mentor junior professionals
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage workstreams and client relationships in high-pressure situations
- Strong client communication and relationship management skills
- Strong work ethic and stamina
- High level of professionalism, maturity, and sound judgment
Expected Base Salary Range: $200,000 - 275,000
