EY GDS is actively recruiting an accomplished Data Engineer to join our team. We are looking for an expert with rich experience designing, building and maintaining data products and at scale, ensuring data quality, high performance processing and serving data ready for Business Analytics and Machine Learning models. 

Successful candidate will work closely with client stakeholders (business and technical) assessing their current data solutions and processes to provide insights and better practices, while implementing data solutions, bringing consultancy mindsets and demonstrating strong flexibility to adapt to different cloud platforms and tools. 

As Data Engineer, you will not only collaborate with client stakeholders but also work closely with different other roles such as product owners, scrum masters, data analysts and data engineers, forming part of a multi-disciplinary team. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Design, build and maintain data products and systems for collecting, storing and processing data at scale, ensuring data quality, high performance processing and serving data ready for Business Analytics and Machine Learning models. 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, product owner and or/analyst to translate the client needs to actionable insights, enabling organizations to make data driven decisions through implementation. 

  • Adhere and/or document and Implement development best practices, methodologies, techniques and technologies for ETL/ELT, near real time and real time processing as well as data serving based on the business use cases. 

  • Ensure the quality and performance of deliverables by applying QA to the components. 

  • Automate the integration and delivery through DevOps tools 

 

Desired Experience: 

  • A Minimum of 4 years of experience as Data Engineer implementing solutions on Databricks on AWS/Azure (Must). 

  • A Minimum of 1 years of experience as Data Engineer implementing solutions on Databricks on AWS/Azure (Nice to Have) 

  • Proven experience defining and implementing wide enterprise data solutions. 

  • Hands-on experience implementing DataWarehouse, DataLake, Lakehouse solutions (Databricks is a must). 

  • Hands-on experience creating report/dashboard/KPIs with any of next BI tools: PowerBI, Tableau. 

  • Proven experience integrating data product solutions with Data Cataloging, Data Lineage and Master Data Management tools. 

  • Proven experience implementing best practices, techniques and/or tools to ensure the quality, security and performance of the solutions. 

  • Experience working with CI/CD strategies and tools. 

 

Requirements: 

  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer software engineer, Data science or a related field. 

  • Strong proficiency with databricks in AWS (jobs, notebooks, delta tables, unity catalog, etc.) 

  • Strong proficiency with engineering concepts, standards, strategies and tools 

  • Strong proficiency with Data Modeling, storage, partitioning, optimization 

  • Strong proficiency with cloud platforms services (AWS and/or Azure). 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 

  • A consulting mindset with the capacity and enthusiasm to learn and implement new technologies.
