Team/Role Overview
The Operational Risk Management (ORM) Resilience & Third-Party Risk Program is a group-level independent risk management function within ORM, responsible for ORM leadership and oversight for Enterprise Resilience, Third-Party Risk, Recovery & Resolution Planning, as well as the operational impacts of Climate Risk. Its mandate covers all business lines and spans all geographies.
Our mission is to assure safety and soundness in the bank through an embedded framework that enables Citi to measure, monitor and manage Business Disruption & Safety Risk & Third-Party Risk within our stated appetite.
What you’ll do
Support senior risk officers to influence and shape the team’s strategic target state through implementation of its strategy and policies.
Establish, manage and execute the Enterprise Risk and Operational Risk framework to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
Serve as a subject matter expert for the planning, development and management of the organization's Independent Assurance and Responsive Challenge Book of Work (BoW), which facilitates risk oversight activity over the First Line of Defense.
Work with internal team coordinators for planning the BoW on an annual basis, manage the approval process, the change management process, and prepare management for monthly & quarterly governance meetings.
Serve as subject matter expert on the Independent Challenge Tool (ICT) for the organization, using ICT to develop internal reports for tracking Book of Work execution.
Manage the organization's Lessons Learned Program, in order to ensure proactive participation in the ORM-level program.
Manage escalations assigned to the organization through the Global Escalation Program, ensuring on-time and to-standard responses.
Support other central function and framework efforts, as required: risk appetite requirements, metrics management, internal audit engagement, regulatory engagement, policy development and maintenance, internal communication, training, and other tasks, as required.
What we’ll need from you
Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
8+ years of experience in financial risk management, consulting, and/or regulatory affairs, with specific experience in operational or enterprise risk management.
In-depth knowledge of risk framework development and maintenance (risk identification, measurement, mitigation, reporting and monitoring, and governance).
Related certifications (CRISC, or similar) preferred.
Strong personal drive and ability to mobilize organizational commitment and support for transversal programs.
Leadership skills and ability to deliver results, while working with cross-functional and virtual teams.
Deep understanding and working knowledge of Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
Fluent English language skills.
